What if someone asks questions the Live Receptionist can’t answer?
We’ll work with you to create a script and provide FAQ information to help receptionists navigate conversations. But if a caller needs something we can’t help with immediately, we can either transfer them to you or take a message based on your preferences.
What happens if my power or phone service goes out?
Your calls will still be answered. Because our Live Receptionists work in home offices and aren't tied to your physical location, your business stays available even if you experience a local outage.
Just keep in mind, call forwarding is set up through your phone provider. If you're worried about losing service or being out of range, we recommend using unconditional or direct call forwarding to ensure your calls always get routed to us, no matter what’s happening on your end.

How does Signpost handle spam calls?
Our Live Receptionists are trained to quickly detect and end spam calls. We ask to be added to the Do Not Call list and add repeat offenders to our Global Block List.

Can Live Receptionists transfer important calls to me or my team?
We may handle your phone calls, but you’re still the expert. While we aim to keep you and your team off the phone as much as possible, some calls need your involvement. Whether those are emergencies or complex situations, we’ll work with you to determine which situations get transferred to your team.
How long does it take to get set up?
Onboarding appointments are typically scheduled within 24–48 hours after you sign up. From there, it depends on the complexity of your setup, like custom scripting, scheduling, or CRM access.
In many cases, we can have your lines ready to forward within an hour after onboarding. In others, it may take a few days to finalize everything and ensure our receptionists are fully prepared to represent your business.
